Abstract
S pomočjo obstoječe literature in pridobljenih izkušenj oz. predlogov sogovornic nato oblikujemo Smernice – predlog izhodišča za pripravo (še neobstoječega) programa španskega jezikovnega tabora.

Title:
Learning Spanish outside the classroom - the language camp
Abstract:
In the Master´s thesis we discuss the key concepts for the organization and execution of a language (summer) camp. It is an example of informal education that enables children and adolescents to learn a language in a way that is different to what they are used to in a school setting. The classroom is replaced by nature, so we describe outside learning and forest pedagogy as a learning environment. A game becomes the main didactic tool - we shine a light on the role that it has in the lives of individuals (regardless of their age) and in their approach to gaining new knowledge. In relation to that we put an additional focus on the influence of age on (the process of) learning a new language - which predispositions and characteristics are to be considered when planning activities that are suitable for children and adolescents. At last, we present the specific language that we would like to include in the offer of language (summer) camps - the Spanish language. In the empirical part of the thesis, we ask interviewees about the aforementioned concepts. We carry out a qualitative research: semi-structured interviews with five interviewees, who each have different working experience in the field of education. We try to expand the themes explored in the theoretical framework of the thesis and answer the question: how can we contribute to the organization and execution of a quality language (summer) camp? With the help of existing literature as well as experience and suggestions provided by the interviewees we create Guidelines as a proposal for the preparation of a (not yet existing) Spanish language camp programme.
