The thesis addressed the ergonomics of workstations in the office of the production team at NIL d. o. o. The research aimed to determine whether the production team's office is ergonomically designed and, in cases of non-compliance with recommendations, to propose improvements that would affect employee well-being positively and reduce the risk of health problems.
In the experimental part, an analysis of microclimatic conditions was carried out using instruments, such as a hygrometer, thermometer, and measuring tape, as well as online tools, such as SunCalc, Lux Light Meter, and Decibel X. This was followed by a workstation analysis using the online programs Office Ergonomics Calculator and Computer Mouse Size Calculator. Additionally, the sitting posture of employees and an assessment of movement discomfort were evaluated. All measurements were compared against ergonomically optimal values for seated office work.
The results showed that all analyzed employees had incorrectly configured workstations from an ergonomic standpoint, and that most of them were largely unaware of this or did not know how to properly readjust them. Based on the results, measures were proposed to improve the ergonomics of the work environment.
The ultimate goal was to highlight the details in the workplace that can affect health (details that most people who perform their work in a seated position are unaware of), gradually, and to show how to address these details to improve the quality of work and reduce the risk of health problems.
