Abstract
Z deskriptivno metodo so povzete ugotovitve tujih avtorjev o pomenu medgeneracijskega sodelovanja, njegovih pozitivnih učinkih in vlogi vodstva.

Title:Analysis of intergenerational cooperation in the public sector of the Celje region
Abstract:
The master's thesis explores intergenerational cooperation in the public sector of the Celje region as a factor of cohesion and knowledge transfer among employees. In today’s multigenerational work environment, collaboration is essential for the effective functioning of organizations. The aim of the research was to determine whether there are differences between older and younger generations of employees in their willingness to engage in intergenerational cooperation, in their mastery of skills and competencies, and whether perceptions of cooperation correlate with age differences. The thesis consists of a theoretical and an empirical part. The theoretical section employs a compilation method to explain key concepts, generational characteristics, differences, and stereotypes. Using a descriptive method, it summarizes the findings of foreign authors on the importance of intergenerational cooperation, its positive effects, and the role of leadership. The empirical part is based on a survey method. Data were collected through an anonymous questionnaire among employees in the public sector of the Celje region. The results were analyzed using descriptive statistics and statistical methods, and compared with a Polish study using a comparative approach. The research showed no statistically significant differences between generations in the public administration of the Celje region regarding their willingness to cooperate. Partially confirmed differences in skills and competencies indicate that younger employees more frequently use digital tools, while older employees take on mentoring roles and manage time more effectively. Perceptions of cooperation were not found to be age-dependent. The results confirm the findings of a previous study conducted in Poland. This thesis makes a valuable contribution to the field by analyzing concrete data and providing insight into the functioning of public administration in the Celje region. It supports international findings and opens avenues for further research. It also offers practical recommendations for organizations and the public sector to strengthen intergenerational cooperation and improve work processes and organizational culture.
