Abstract
Magistrska naloga obravnava uporabnost delno porazdeljenega konceptualnega hidrološkega modela HBV-light za določanje projektnih pretokov na porečjih reke Mučke Bistrice in Radoljne, ki se kot pritoka izlivata v reko Dravo. Namen naloge je bilo oceniti ustreznost modela pri zveznem hidrološkem modeliranju, pri simulaciji preteklih merjenih visokovodnih dogodkov in pri izračunu projektnih pretokov Q10, Q100 in Q500. Izdelani so bili zvezni hidrološki modeli z uporabo podatkov več meteoroloških postaj. Izračunane so bile simulacije z urnim, dnevnim in mesečnim časovnim korakom. Izvedeno je bilo umerjanje in validacija na podlagi merjenih pretokov na hidroloških postajah Muta I in Ruta. Pri umerjanju je bilo preizkušenih več primerjalnih funkcij, od katerih se je za najprimernejšo izkazala funkcija Kling-Gupta učinkovitosti (KGE). Modeliranje preteklih merjenih visokovodnih dogodkov je pokazalo, da lahko model HBV-light ustrezno simulira posamezne visokovodne dogodke. Pokazalo se je, da je kakovost modeliranja močno odvisna od zajema padavinskih podatkov na posameznih meteoroloških postajah. Na osnovi umerjenih parametrov modela je bil izveden izračun projektnih pretokov Q10, Q100 in Q500. Postopek je vključeval generiranje sintetičnih padavinskih dogodkov in določitev kritičnega trajanja padavin. Rezultati so bili primerjani z obstoječimi študijami in z izračuni modela HEC-HMS. Izdelane so bile tudi ocene razponov negotovosti projektnih pretokov. Ugotovljeno je bilo, da je model HBV-light primerno orodje za določanje projektnih hidrogramov, vendar zahteva ustrezne vhodne podatke, primerno umerjanje in kritično interpretacijo.

Title:Application of a hydrological model for determining design hydrographs
Abstract:
The master's thesis addresses the applicability of the semi-distributed conceptual hydrological model HBV-light for determining design floods in the catchments of Mučka Bistrica and Radoljna rivers, which flow into the Drava River. The aim of the thesis was to assess the model's suitability for continuous hydrological modelling, for simulating past measured high-water events, and for calculating design discharge values Q10, Q100 and Q500. Continuous hydrological models were developed using data from multiple meteorological stations. Simulations were performed at hourly, daily and monthly time step. Calibration and validation were carried out based on measured discharge data from the Muta I and Ruta hydrological stations Several objective functions were tested during calibration, among which the Kling-Gupta Efficiency (KGE) proved to be the most suitable. Modelling of past measured high-water events showed that the HBV-ligtht model can adequately simulate individual high-water events. It was demonstrated that the quality of the modelling heavily depends on the quality and spatial representativeness of precipitation data from individual meteorological stations. Based on calibrated model parameters, design floods Q10, Q100 and Q500 were calculated. The procedure involved generating synthetic precipitation events and determining the critical duration of precipitation. The results were compared with existing studies and with calculations from the HEC-HMS model. Assessments of the uncertainty ranges of the design floods were also prepared. It was concluded that the HBV-light model is suitable tool for determining design flood hydrographs; however, it requires appropriate input data, proper calibration, and critical interpretation.
