Gondola Hotel Kanin 365 : idejna zasnova preobrazbe stare gondole v Gondola Hotel Kanin, v Bovcu

Magistrska naloga raziskuje sodobne načine gradnje v Alpskem svetu in išče rešitve za problem sezonskosti turizma v soški dolini. Glavni razlog za to je zastarela gondola na Kanin, ki ne sme več obratovati. Prav tako si postavlja temeljno vprašanje o trajnostnem načinu gradnje v tako občutljivem naravnem okolju. Projekt preobrazbe stare gondole v Gondola Hotel Kanin 365 predlaga novo tipologijo hotela, saj se hotel programsko razdeli med tri postaje, glavno prevozno sredstvo pa postane gondola. Večina programa je skoncentriranega v dolini, na gori pa so bolj samo sobe in restavracija. Pravtako se obudi smučanje na najvišje ležečem slovenskem smučišču in ponovno vzpostavi povezavo z italijansko stranjo.

• Title: Gondola Hotel Kanin 365 : conceptual design for the transformation of an old gondola into the Gondola Hotel Kanin in Bovec

Abstract

The master’s thesis explores contemporary construction methods in the Alpine region and seeks solutions to the problem of tourism seasonality in the Soča Valley. The main reason for this issue is the outdated gondola lift to Kanin, which is no longer permitted to operate. It also raises a fundamental question about sustainable construction in such a sensitive natural environment. The project of transforming the old gondola into the Gondola Hotel Kanin 365 proposes a new hotel typology, in which the hotel program is distributed across three stations, with the gondola becoming the main means of transportation. Most of the program is concentrated in the valley, while the mountain mainly hosts the rooms and a restaurant. The project also revitalizes skiing at the highest-altitude ski resort in Slovenia and re-establishes the connection with the Italian side.
