Idejna zasnova športno-konjeniškega centra Vitranc v Podkorenu

Magistrska naloga raziskuje možnost povezovanja programa smučanja in konjeništva ob vznožju smučišča Vitranc v Podkorenu. Lokacija projekta magistrske naloge se nahaja v naselju Podkoren pri izteku smučišča Vitranc, kjer vsako leto poteka Pokal Vitranc. Posebnost lokacije je, da zaživi le za kratko obdobje smučarske sezone in smučarskih tekem, preostali del leta pa samuje. V magistrskem delu je prikazana rešitev, kako bi lahko z dodajanjem programa konjeništva podpirali program smučanja, revitalizirali lokacijo in podprli ostale športno-turistične dejavnosti širšega območja. Rešitev predpostavi, da bi zasnova športno-konjeniškega centra degradirani lokaciji dala novo življenje in nastavek za njen nadaljnji razvoj, hkrati pa bi bolje služila tudi lokalnemu prebivalstvu. Umestitev centra se prilagaja pogojem lokacije – delno vkopan objekt se spoji s terenom smučišča in vzpostavi iztek smučišča na eni ter odprto fasado na drugi strani. Zasnova stremi k ohranjanju smučarske tradicije in v izteku smučišča predvidi ciljno areno, ki omogoča izvedbo Pokala Vitranc in ostalih smučarskih tekmovanj pozimi, poleti pa služi jahalni areni in ostalim športom. Magistrsko delo predstavi in analizira izbrano lokacijo, predstavi ključne teme širšega območja lokacije, obstoječega ter dodanega programa, ter predstavi koncept in idejno zasnovo športno-konjeniškega centra Vitranc.

• Title: Conceptual design of the Vitranc sports and equestrian center in Podkoren

Abstract

The master’s thesis explores the possibility of integrating skiing and equestrian program at the foot of the Vitranc ski slope in Podkoren. The project location of the master’s thesis is located in Podkoren, at the finish of the Vitranc ski slope, where the Vitranc Cup takes place every year. The site is characterized by the fact that it becomes active only during the short ski season and ski competitions, while it remains largely unused for the rest of the year. The thesis presents a solution for supporting the skiing program by adding equestrian activities, revitalizing the site, and supporting other sports-tourism activities in the wider area. The proposal assumes that the design of a sports-equestrian center would give new life to the degraded site and provide a basis for its further development, while also better serving the local community. The placement of the center is adapted to the site conditions – a partially underground building is integrated with the ski slope terrain, with the ski slope exit on one side and an open facade on the other. The solution aims to preserve the skiing tradition, envisioning a finish arena at the ski slope exit that can host the Vitranc Cup and other ski competitions in winter, and serve as a riding arena and open space for other sports in summer. The master’s thesis presents and analyzes the chosen location, outlines the key themes of the surrounding area, the existing and added programs, and introduces the concept and conceptual design of the Vitranc sports and equestrian center.
