Idejna zasnova revitalizacije objekta nekdanje tržnice v Črnomlju : prostorska interpretacija mitološke poti Zelenega Jurija

Magistrska naloga obravnava prostorsko in arhitekturno interpretacijo mitološke poti Zelenega Jurija kot izhodišče za prenovo starega mestnega jedra Črnomlja. Predlagana rešitev temelji na modelu cikličnega prostora, ki s prenosom naravnega letnega cikla v prostorsko zasnovo vzpostavlja novo ritmično strukturo mesta. Teoretični del naloge raziskuje mit Zelenega Jurija kot model cikličnega razumevanja časa skozi faze mirovanja, prihoda, vrhunca in razpada. Ta cikel se preslika v urbanistično zasnovo. Mesto razdelim na 4 cone, ki so skladne z vsako fazo mita. Raziskava vključuje tudi kulturno-zgodovinske transformacije mita ter njegovo interpretacijo skozi simbolne in arhetipske vzorce, ki so vodilo za oblikovanje programa nove stavbe. Ključno izhodišče arhitekturne zasnove predstavlja prenova območja nekdanje mestne tržnice, ki zaradi lege na robu starega jedra in ob reki Lahinji deluje kot pomembno prostorsko vozlišče med mestom in krajino.

• Title: Conceptual design of the revitalization of the former market building in Črnomelj : a spatial interpretation of the mythological path of Zeleni Jurij

Abstract

The master’s thesis explores the spatial and architectural interpretation of the mythological path of Green George as a basis for the revitalization of the old town center of Črnomelj. The proposed solution is based on a model of cyclical space, which establishes a new rhythmic structure of the city by translating the natural annual cycle into spatial design. The theoretical part examines the myth of Green George as a model of cyclical time, structured through phases of dormancy, arrival, peak, and decline. This cycle is then translated into the urban design, where the city is divided into four zones corresponding to each phase of the myth. The research also addresses the cultural-historical transformations of the myth and its interpretation through symbolic and archetypal patterns, which serve as a guideline for the program of the new building. A key element of the architectural proposal is the redevelopment of the former market area, which, due to its location at the edge of the old town and along the Lahinja River, functions as an important spatial link between the city and the landscape.
