Abstract
Vijačne zveze so najpogostejša razstavljiva zveza strojnih elementov. Pravilno načrtovanje le-teh zagotavlja varnost, zanesljivost in trdnost sestavov.

Title:Numerical modeling of screw connections of strength class 4.6
Abstract:
Screw connections are the most common detachable connection of mechanical elements. Proper planning of these ensures safety, reliability, and strength of assemblies. Ideally, our construction should be dimensioned in a way to make it stable enough for the loads it will carry, whereby we should be careful not to over-dimension the construction. For this reason, it is best to know whether our calculations are satisfactory before assembling the construction. This can be done with simulations. However, this leads to the next issue, as simulations, e.g. mathematical calculations, with precise 3D models are very time inefficient. To overcome this problem, we must model screws in a simplified way, by means of line modeling. The goal is to achieve that a line-modeled screw behaves similarly to a 3D modeled screw. With satisfactory results, we can significantly speed up the process of dimensioning all constructions. Herein presented is the entire process of how to check if this can be modeled as suggested. The same method can be applied to check whether a different screw, made of different material, can be modeled in a simplified way. We found out that the M6 screw, strength class 4.6 according to the DIN 975 standard, can be modeled in a simplified or linear way.
