Abstract
V okviru magistrske naloge je obravnavana tematika hidrološko-hidravličnega modeliranja po metodi mrežnih padavin v programskem okolju HEC-RAS. Predstavljeni je tradicionalni in trenutni pristop k hidrološkemu modeliranju, postopek priprave modela po metodi mrežnih padavin in razlike v primerjavi s tradicionalnim pristopom, ki predvideva ločen hidrološki in hidravlični model. Modeliranje po metodi mrežnih padavin je v nalogi testirano na porečju Velunje, za katero je bila leta 2015 izvedena referenčna hidrološka študija. Za omenjeno porečje smo izdelali polni 2D hidrološkohidravlični model in z njim simulirali izbrane padavinske dogodke ter rezultate primerjali z referenčno študijo in meritvami na vodomerni postaji. Izvedli smo analizo občutljivosti izdelanega modela na nekaj glavnih modelnih parametrov. Dodatno smo simulirali padavinski dogodek »avgust 2023« z uporabo terestičnih in radarskih meritev padavin. V zaključku smo ovrednotili uporabnost metode in izpostavili prednosti ter slabosti. Podali smo tudi smernice za modeliranje s to metodo.

Title:Use of the HEC-RAS model with the rain-on-grid method for flood hazard assessment : master thesis
Abstract:
The master’s thesis addresses the topic of hydrological–hydraulic modelling using the rain-on-grid method within the HEC-RAS software environment. The traditional and current approaches to hydrological modelling are presented, followed by the description of the model setup using the rain-ongrid method and a discussion of the differences compared to the traditional approach, which employs separate hydrological and hydraulic models. The rain-on-grid modelling approach was analyzed for the Velunja River catchment, for which a reference hydrological study was conducted in 2015. For this catchment, a fully 2D hydraulic model was developed, and selected rainfall events were simulated. The results were compared with those of the reference study and with measurements from the gauging station. A sensitivity analysis of several key model parameters was also performed. In addition, the August 2023 rainfall event was simulated using terrestrial and radar-based precipitation data. In conclusion, the applicability of the method was evaluated, highlighting its advantages and limitations. Several guidelines for modelling using this approach were proposed.
