Abstract
V zaključni nalogi je obravnavana optimizacija časa menjave priprav na CNC rezkalnem stroju z namenom povečanja produktivnosti in fleksibilnosti proizvodnega procesa. Problem izhaja iz dolgih mrtvih časov, ki pomembno vplivajo na učinkovitost stroja pri maloserijski proizvodnji. Za analizo obstoječega stanja je bila uporabljena metoda SMED, s katero so bile dejavnosti razdeljene na notranje in zunanje ter sistematično optimizirane. Ključna izboljšava je uvedba standardiziranega hitro vpenjalnega zero point sistema, ki omogoča ohranjanje referenčnih ničel in odpravlja potrebo po ponovnem umerjanju. Rezultati kažejo, da se je čas menjave priprave skrajšal iz 144 minut na 27 minut, kar predstavlja približno 80 % prihranek časa. Analiza ponovljivosti vpenjanja je potrdila ustrezno natančnost sistema. Uvedene spremembe omogočajo povečanje letne proizvodnje za približno 5,7 % ter prispevajo k večji konkurenčnosti in prilagodljivosti proizvodnje.

Title:Optimization of setup changeover time in CNC milling machines for increased productivity and cost reduction
Abstract:
In this thesis, the optimization of changeover time on a CNC milling machine is examined with the aim of increasing productivity and flexibility within the manufacturing process. The problem stems from long idle periods, which significantly affect machine efficiency in small batch production. To analyse the current state, the SMED method was applied, dividing activities into internal and external tasks. This was followed by a systematic optimization of these activities. A key improvement is the introduction of a standardized quick clamping zero point system, which preserves reference points and eliminates the need for repeated calibration. The results show that the setup changeover time was reduced from 144 minutes to 27 minutes, representing approximately 80 % time saving. A clamping repeatability analysis confirmed the system's sufficient accuracy. The implemented changes enable an increase in annual production by approximately 5,7 % and contribute to greater market competitiveness and adaptability of the manufacturing process.
