In my thesis, I will discuss the perspective of a neurodivergent person during an interaction and the connection between neurodiversety and the LGBTQ+ community. In the theoretical part, I will describe the meaning of neurodivergence and the LGBTQ+ community, the oppression of these minorities (everything from exclusion from society to exclusive surroundings), a professional explanation of the connection between them, the similarities and differences between these groups, and how the lack of knowledge about neurodivergence and the LGBTQ+ community harms the entire society. I will also analyze the reference authors and the techniques. In the practical part, I will show the perspective of a neurodivergent person through photography using the long shutter speed and simultaneous shift technique.
With this, I will point out the hyperawareness. The result will be a space, where a projection will play, with many sensory triggers - visually, the photographs will be saturated in color and contrast; I will add multiple layers of auditory stimulations such as a heartbeat, the sound of a clock, etc.; the chair from which the viewer will watch the projection will be taped with marbles. The goal is to trigger all senses so people will feel the hyperawareness.
