Leta 1900 je Dramatično društvo v Ljubljani želelo uprizoriti Jurčičevega Tugomerja,kar je deželna vlada prepovedala. Na podlagi doslej malo znanih arhivskih dokumentovčlanek osvetljuje delovanje tedanjega gledališkega cenzorja Oskarja Wratschka inpredsednika Dramatičnega društva Ivana Tavčarja.

Abstract

In 1900, the Ljubljana Drama Society sought to stage the first Slovenian tragedy,Tugomer, by Josip Jurčič, but was thwarted by the provincial government. Based on little-known archived documents, this article sheds light on the activities of the theater censor atthe time, Oskar Wratschko, and the president of the Drama Society, Ivan Tavčar.
