Abstract

Abstract:
This article deals with physiotherapy terms that contain abbreviations and their relation to the orthographic norm. It notes that the current orthographic rule, according to which such naming units are compounds and are written with a hyphen, has not been followed in the formation of physiotherapy terms. Furthermore, it appears that terminological variations and duplications of individual components in the base of the abbreviation and the non-abbreviated part of the term occur relatively frequently in such terms.
