Abstract
Uvod: Vadba proti uporu dokazano izboljšuje mišično jakost, statično raztezanje pa sklepno gibljivost. Zaradi podobnih mehanizmov je verjetno, da vadba proti uporu vpliva tudi na sklepno gibljivost, statično raztezanje pa na mišično jakost, vendar je dokazov o tem za zdaj malo. Namen: Primerjati učinek vadbe proti uporu na sklepno gibljivost in statičnega raztezanja na mišično jakost. Metode dela: Uporabljena je bila deskriptivna metoda pregleda literature v podatkovni zbirki PubMed za obdobje zadnjih petnajstih let. Vključene so bile raziskave, ki so neposredno primerjale učinke vadbe proti uporu in statičnega raztezanja. Rezultati: V pregled je bilo vključenih šest raziskav. V treh je bilo ugotovljeno statistično značilno povečanje mišične jakosti v obeh intervencijskih skupinah v primerjavi s kontrolno. V štirih raziskavah med intervencijskima skupinama ni bilo statistično značilnih razlik v spremembah sklepne gibljivosti. V dveh raziskavah je bilo ugotovljeno povečanje mišične jakosti in sklepne gibljivosti v obeh intervencijskih skupinah v primerjavi s kontrolno, brez statistično značilnih razlik med intervencijama. Razprava in zaključek: Ob uporabi ustreznih vadbenih parametrov lahko tako statično raztezanje kot vadba proti uporu povečata mišično jakost in sklepno gibljivost. Zaradi metodoloških razlik med raziskavami ostaja vpliv statičnega raztezanja na jakost ter vadbe proti uporu na sklepno gibljivost za zdaj nezadostno dokazan, zato so potrebne dodatne raziskave.

Title:The effects of resistance training and static stretching on muscle strength and flexibility
Abstract:
Introduction: Resistance training has been shown to improve muscle strength, while static stretching improves joint range of motion. Given the similarities in some of the underlying mechanisms, it is possible that static stretching could enhance muscle strength and that resistance training could improve flexibility. However, evidence in this area remains limited. Purpose: This literature review aimed to compare the effects of resistance training and static stretching on muscle strength and flexibility. Methods: A descriptive literature review was conducted using the PubMed database covering the past fifteen years. Studies that directly compared the effects of resistance training and static stretching were included. Results: Six studies met the inclusion criteria. Three reported statistically significant increases in muscle strength in both intervention groups compared to the control group. Four studies found no statistically significant differences in flexibility changes between the intervention groups. Two studies reported simultaneous increases in muscle strength and flexibility in both intervention groups compared to the control group, with no significant differences between them. Discussion and Conclusion: Static stretching and resistance training may influence muscle strength and flexibility when appropriate training parameters are applied. Due to limitations of the studies and the literature review, interpretation of the results is challenging, which encourages further research.
