Abstract
V magistrski nalogi Analiza učinkovitosti potisnih ventilatorjev za odvod dima in toplote iz garaže je predstavljen sistem potisnih ventilatorjev, njihovo modeliranje, učinkovitost ter različni primeri uporabe in analize le-teh v pogojih požara. V prvem delu je predstavljena razlika med sistemom potisnih ventilatorjev in kanalskim sistemom za odvod dima ter primerjava njune učinkovitosti. Dodane so tudi požarne tehnične smernice, kriteriji vzdržnosti ter standardi BS 7346-7 in PD 7974-6, ki določajo mejne vrednosti za temperaturo, vidljivost in hitrost zraka med požarom. V osrednjem delu naloge je bil s pomočjo programa PyroSim izdelan 3D model garaže ter celoten ventilacijski sistem s potisnimi ventilatorji. V njem je bilo izvedenih več različnih simulacij požarov glede na lokacijo vozila, prisotnost ventilatorjev in njihovo delovanje. Vključeni so primeri odpovedi posameznih ventilatorjev, zamik vklopa, različne postavitve vozil in primeri brez potisnih ventilatorjev. V zaključku je izvedena analiza rezultatov, ki pokaže, da potisni ventilatorji pomembno vplivajo na širjenje dima, temperaturo in vidljivost ter so ključni za zagotavljanje varnosti evakuacije in zmanjševanje tveganja za sekundarne požare.

Title:Analysis of the efficiency of jet fans for smoke and heat extraction in a parking garage : master thesis
Abstract:
The master’s thesis Analysis of the Efficiency of Jet Fans for Smoke and Heat Extraction in a Parking Garage presents the jet fan system, its modeling, effectiveness, and various fire scenarios with accompanying analyses. The theoretical part outlines the difference between the jet fan system and the ducted smoke extraction system, along with a comparison of their efficiency in case of fire. Fire safety guidelines, tenability criteria, and the standards BS 7346-7 and PD 7974-6 are also presented, defining threshold values for temperature, visibility, and air velocity during a fire. In the main part of the thesis, a 3D model of the garage and the entire ventilation system with jet fans was created using the PyroSim program. Several fire simulations were performed, varying in vehicle location, presence of fans, and their operation. The scenarios include fan failure, delayed activation, different vehicle positions, and simulations without jet fans. The final analysis shows that jet fans have a significant impact on smoke movement, temperature distribution, and visibility, and are crucial for ensuring evacuation safety and reducing the risk of secondary fires.
