Abstract
Namen članka je splošna predstavitev poljskih študij hendikepa in njihove poti od aktivizma do akademskega sveta, ki se po svojem poteku ne razlikuje od poti zahodnih študij hendikepa. Avtorica na začetku svojega prispevka spomni na zgodovino študij hendikepa in pojasni poljski jezikovni in družbeni kontekst. V nadaljevanju poljske študije hendikepa postavi v evropski in svetovni okvir, pri čemer predstavi aktualne razprave, težnje in delitve na tem področju.

Title:Polish disability studies in contemporary humanities
Abstract:
The aim of the article is to provide a general overview of Polish disability studies and their path from activism to academia, which does not differ in its course from the path of Western disability studies. The author begins by reviewing the history of disability studies and explaining the Polish linguistic and social context. She then places Polish disability studies in the European and global context, presenting current discussions, trends and divisions in this field.
