In a private company that deals with wood transportation we made an analysis for the year 2009 and divided the data into three forestry transport compositions. We split the transports into groups of national transports and transports from Croatia. We computed the Machine cost calcualtion and comparedthe efficiency of the forestry transport compositions with the DEA method. In the analysis the following scenarios were used: exploitation of compositions is maximal, exploitation is real, and the scenario for both exploitations supposing that Croatia be a member of EU. According to the calculations, the first composition was shown as the best and most efficient one regardless of the group of transports. The third composition followed, the least efficient being the second one. From the point of view of the relation between inputs and outputs, we ascertained that the efficiency of compositions differs, and that there are great differences between national and international transports. If Croatia joined the EU, the transports efficiency would improve whereas the relation of the efficiency of groups of transports would not.
