The terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) method proved to be effective even in hard-to-reach and spatially limited parts of the cave. We examined the Markov Štangovc cave, whose interior we captured with a Leica BLK360 G1 scanner. Based on the point cloud, we created an extended profile, plan view of the cave, and cross-sections showing the course of the cave and the characteristics of individual tunnels. Special emphasis was placed on finding the closest connection between the cave and the surface, as this data forms the basis for the possible planning of an accessible tunnel for tourist purposes. The results enable more accurate documentation of the cave system and contribute to a better understanding of its spatial location, which is important for further nature conservation and spatial decisions.
