Abstract
Za diplomsko delo smo izdelali koncept letala Š1, ki smo ga obravnavali pri predmetu Konstruiranje letal med študijem. Analitični pristop je časovno zamuden, poleg tega ne omogoča opazovanja vpliva sprememb parametrov zasnovanega letala, zato smo letalo zasnovali v programu RDSwin Student. V programu vnesemo podatke o letalu, na podlagi katerih nam omogoča izvedbo različnih analiz parametrov. Najprej v program vnesemo geometrijo letala, podatke o težah sestavnih delov, aerodinamičnih lastnostih aeroprofila in pogonu. Iz zbranih podatkov dobimo rezultate o aerodinamičnih lastnostih letala, njegovih zmogljivostih ter proizvodne in obratovalne stroške. Rezultate programa primerjamo z rezultati analitičnih preračunov in ugotovimo, da so aerodinamične lastnosti podobne, medtem ko zmogljivosti odstopajo. Izvor odstopanja rezultatov identificiramo v programskem modulu pogona, zaradi česar posledično vplivajo na zmogljivosti letala. Rezultati kažejo, da bi bila izdelava takega šolskega letala poceni, vendar bi bilo zaradi visokih vzdrževalnih stroškov drago za uporabo.

Title:Conceptual design of the Š1 aircraft using the RDSwin Student software
Abstract:
For the final assignment, we created the concept of the aircraft Š1, which we studied in the course Aircraft Design during our studies. The analytical approach is time-consuming and furthermore does not allow observing the influence of changes in the parameters of the designed aircraft, therefore we designed the aircraft in the program RDSwin Student. In the program we enter the aircraft data, based on which it allows us to perform various analyses of the parameters. First, we entered the aircraft geometry, data on the weights of the components, the aerodynamic properties of the airfoil, and the propulsion system. From the collected data we obtained results on the aerodynamic characteristics of the aircraft, its performance, and the production and operating costs. We compared the program results with the results of the analytical calculations and found that the aerodynamic characteristics are similar, while the performance differs. We identified the source of the deviation in the results in the propulsion module of the program, which consequently affected the aircraft performance. The results show that the production of such a training aircraft would be inexpensive, but due to the high maintenance costs it would be expensive to operate.
