Current regulations about the training of pilots and operators of unmanned aerial systems of the Republic of Slovenia, were prepared according to the older way of classifying unmanned aircraft types. Since then NATO has released new recomendations, which classifies the unmanned aircraft according to risk assesment. Because of that, the current regulations are
needed to be updated. Thats why we used this work to analize both older and newer NATO recomendations and reviewed the current technological status of unmanned aerial systems both in use and in development. According to our findings, we then made our recomendations on the needed changes to regulations and warned about the dangers of flawed implementation and the dangers they bring.
