In mobile hydraulics and mechanical engineering, there is often a need for smaller and more compact hydraulic systems. Due to the limited availability of such systems and power units on the market, the goal of this thesis was to design and manufacture a small and lightweight hydraulic power unit that can be used in a wide range of mobile hydraulics applications. The
work aimed to research the market for existing small power packs and hydraulic components and to develop a power pack that is competitive in terms of performance, size, and weight. After a successful design phase, the required components were manufactured using machining tools, and all standard parts were procured. This was followed by the assembly
of the hydraulic power unit and the testing of its basic parameters. To reduce the mass of the power unit, we performed a topological optimization of the hydraulic block, which is suitable for further manufacturing using metal 3D printing technology.
