Abstract
Prečiščena voda je ključna za številne postopke v farmacevtski industriji, kjer mora biti njena kakovost zanesljiva. Za dosego tega cilja je nujno skrbno načrtovanje sistema za pripravo prečiščene vode. Izvedenih je bilo sedem simulacij različnih konfiguracij RO, na podlagi katerih je bila izbrana optimalna rešitev. Najbolje se je izkazala vzporedna konfiguracija dveh RO modulov, ki zagotavlja visoko učinkovitost z izkoristkom 75,7 %, zahtevano kakovost prečiščene vode s prevodnostjo 18 µS/cm in zmerne obratovalne stroške, hkrati pa omogoča redundanco in podaljšuje življenjsko dobo membran. Zelo dobre rezultate je dosegel tudi CCRO sistem, ki pri učinkovitosti 80 % zagotavlja prevodnost 9 µS/cm, vendar zahteva bistveno višje investicijske stroške. Za izbrani sistem sta bila izdelana procesna shema in dimenzionirani ključni elementi za zanesljivo obratovanje. Za dodatno izboljšanje učinkovitosti in trajnosti sistema bi bilo v prihodnje smiselno raziskati uporabo naprednejših tehnologij, kot so inovativne membranske rešitve in pametni nadzorni sistemi.

Title:Design of a purified water generation system for utility processes in a pharmaceutical environment
Abstract:
Purified water is essential for numerous processes in the pharmaceutical industry, where its quality must be reliable. Achieving this requires careful design of the purified water preparation system. Seven simulations of different RO configurations were performed, based on which the optimal solution was selected. The parallel configuration of two RO modules proved to be the optimal solution, ensuring high performance with an efficiency of 75.7 %, the required purified water quality with a conductivity of 18 μS/cm, and moderate operating costs, while also providing redundancy and extending membrane life. The CCRO system also achieved very good results, delivering 80 % efficiency and a conductivity of 9 μS/cm, but it requires significantly higher investment costs. For the selected system, a process flow diagram was created and key components were sized to ensure reliable operation. To further improve system efficiency and sustainability, future research should explore the use of advanced technologies such as innovative membrane solutions and intelligent control systems.
