Idejna zasnova prenove in prizidave nekdanje osnovne šole v Borštu

V magistrskem delu sem se ukvarjala z raziskovanjem in idejno zasnovo prenove in prizidave objekta stare osnovne šole v Borštu ter njenim pomenom in vplivom na tamkajšnje prebivalce v obdobju vse od zasnove in izgradnje do njenega današnjega zapuščenega stanja. Z analizo okolice in objekta ter raziskavo zgodovine kraja in šolstva sem pridobila podlago za oblikovan projekt prenove in prizidave, ki šolo vrača nazaj ljudem in kraju dodaja novo vrednost. Projektno nakažem zasnovo prenove objekta stare šole in njene okolice. Glede na obstoječe stanje in predelane analize umestim in oblikujem prizidka, ki se ozirata na potrebe željenega programa ter na značilnosti in tradicijo okoliškega prostora. Program določa današnja družba s svojimi potrebami. Problem s staranjem prebivalstva pomaga reševati umeščeno dnevno varstvo starejših v prenovljen objekt in nov sodoben prizidek, ki izpolnjuje današnja načela. Ravno tako z vstavitvijo dveh manjših stanovanj v nadstropje prenovljenega objekta šole pomagam pri reševanju stanovanjske problematike v naši družbi. Končni rezultat je krepitev vaškega življenja skozi že obstoječe središče vasi z na novo definiranim prostorom stare osnovne šole. Projekt z novim programom združuje z dejavnostmi in življenjem obstoječega zadružnega doma s pripadajočo okolico dvorišča in igrišč in tako krepi središče druženja več generacij na isti točki.

• Title: Conceptual design for the renovation and extension of the former elementary school in Boršt

Abstract

In my master’s thesis, I dealt with the research and conceptual design for the renovation and extension of the old elementary school building in Boršt and its significance and impact on the local residents over the period from its design and construction to its current abandoned state. Through analyses of the surroundings and the building and research into the history of the place and education, I gainded the basis for designing a project that will return the school to the people and add new value to the place. As a project, I suggest the design of the renovation of the old school building and its surroundings. Given the existing condition and the revised analyses, I am placing and designing an extension that takes into account both the needs of the desired program and the characteristics and tradition of the surrounding area. The program is determined by today’s society with its needs. The program of day care for the elderly in the renovated building and a new modern extension that meets today’s principles helps to solve the problem of the ageing population. I am also helping to solve the housing problem in our society by placing two small apartments on the first floor of the renovated school building. The end result is the strengthening of village life through the already existing village center with the newly defined space of the old elementary school. The project combines the new program with the activities and life of the existing cooperative home with the associated courtyard and playground surroundings, thus strengthening the center of socializing for several generations at the same point.
