Arhitekturna ureditev božjepotnega svetišča Kurešček

Na jugu Ljubljanskega barja, se nahaja hrib Kurešček na katerem stoji Marijina cerkev, ki je znana kot božjepotno svetišče Marije Kraljice miru. Cerkev je bila zgrajena v 15. stoletju zaradi domnevnih čudežev in prikazovanj povezanih z Marijo in je priljubljen kraj za romarje še danes. Na Kureščku se prepletajo plasti raznolikega verskega in posvetnega programa, brez urejenega prostora za sočasno izvajanje obeh, pojavlja se še prostorska stiska, ki so jo do sedaj reševali brez kvalitetnega, dolgoročnega načrta. Cilj naloge je rešiti prostorski problem na Kureščku s primernim arhitekturnim posegom, ki bi rešil trenutno prostorsko stisko, zagotovil nov prostor za maševanje v primeru večjega števila ljudi in uredil prostor namenjen božjepotništvu.

• Title: Architectural design of the pilgrimage shrine Kurešček

Abstract

Kurešček is located in the southern part of the Ljubljana Marshes, where the Church of St Mary, also known as the Shrine of Our Lady of Peace, stands. Built in the 15th century due to alleged miracles and apparitions associated with Mary, the church is still a popular pilgrimage destination. Kurešček offers various religious and secular programs, but there is no organised space for the simultaneous implementation of both. There is also a lack of space for worship when large numbers of people are present, a problem that has so far been addressed without a quality, long-term plan. The task aims to solve the spatial problem in Kurešček through an appropriate architectural intervention. This intervention should resolve the current spatial constraints, provide additional space for larger crowds and organise the area intended for pilgrimage.
