Abstract
Antična Salona, danes Solin na Hrvaškem, je mesto, ki svoj razcvet doživi v rimskem in poznoantičnem času. Najprej so to območje naseljevali Iliri, opazna pa je tudi prisotnost Grkov. Rimljani jo kot kolonijo proglasijo v 1. stoletju pr. n. št. V diplomski nalogi bom predstavila vsa obdobja naselitve ter ostanke glavnih zgradb rimskega mesta kot so forum, pristanišče, terme, obzidje, akvedukt, nekropole itd. V nadaljevanju bom predstavila pojav krščanstva v 3. stoletju in njegovo postopno širitev. Predstavila bom tudi glavne zgodnjekrščanske objekte, ki so bili v tem času zgrajeni, kot so škofijski center, številne bazilike in pokopališča.

Title:Ancient Salona
Abstract:
Ancient Salona, today's Solin in Croatia, is a city that flourished during the Roman and Late Antique time. At first, this area was inhabited by Illyrians, the presence of Greeks is also noticeable. The Romans declared it a colony in the 1st century BC. In my thesis, I will present all the periods of the settlement and the remains of the main buildings of the Roman town, such as the forum, port, baths, walls, aqueduct, necropoleis etc. I will continue displaying the emergence of Christianity in the 3rd century and its gradual expansion. I will also present the main Early Christian buildings that were built during this time, such as the episcopal complex, numerous basilicas and cemeteries.
