The thesis addresses the issue of linguistic and general integration or inclusion of workers from Nepal into the local environment of Gornja Radgona. When considering the concept of integration, its definition, and its various aspects, the multifaceted nature of integration is also presented. I am interested in the extent to which workers themselves want to integrate into society and establish contacts with the local population, and on the other hand, the perspective of the local population, especially those who come into direct contact with the workers. The issue of the use of the Slovene language at work is being addressed, i.e., to what extent do workers from Nepal need to know Slovene at work (in manufacturing), how they communicate with other (Slovene) workers, to what extent they understand instructions, etc. The aspect of integrating workers through Slovenian as a second language courses is also highlighted.
