Abstract
V diplomskem delu sem predstavil aktivacijo C-H vezi in vlogo rutenijevih kompleksov s para-cimenskim ligandom. V eksperimentalnem delu sem sintetiziral šest rutenijevih katalizatorjev preko aktivacije C-H vezi iz predkatalizatorjev [Ru(p-cimen)Cl$_2$]$_2$ in RuCl$_3$‧H$_2$O z izkoristki med 18 in 90 odstotkov. Enega izmed produktov mi ni uspelo očistiti, medtem ko so bili ostali sintetizirani kompleksi čisti ali pa očiščeni s kolonsko kromatografijo. Produkte sem okarakteriziral s pomočjo infrardeče sprektroskopije, jedrske magnetne resonance in masne spektrometrije. Reakcije so potekale pod blagimi reakcijskimi pogoji. Ugotovil sem da je izhodne komplekse možno pretvoriti v množico različnih katalizatorjev.

Title:Ruthenium complexes with para-cymene ligand as precatalysts for activation of C-H bond
Abstract:
In my thesis, I described C-H bond activation using ruthenium complexes with para-cymene ligand. In experimental part, I have synthesized six ruthenium organometallic complexes via C-H bond activation by [Ru(p-cymene)Cl$_2$]$_2$ and RuCl$_3$‧H$_2$O precatalysts affording product complexes in 18 to 90 percent yield. I was unable to purify one of the products, while others were obtained in pure form already after synthesis or were purified by column chromatography. Products were characterized with infrared spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance and mass spectrometry. Reactions were performed under mild reaction conditions. I have found out that starting complexes can be transformed into several different (pre)catalysts.
