Doživljanje travme ob ločitvi staršev v romanih Brez imena Janija Virka in Dnevi na otoku Gideona Samsona z vidikov mladinskega problemskega romana

V svoji diplomski nalogi bom primerjala dva sodobna romana, in sicer slovenski roman Brez imena (2018) Janija Virka in nizozemski roman Dnevi na otoku (2020) (Eilanddagen, 2016) Gideona Samsona. Romana bom primerjala z vidika pripovedi o soočanju s travmo, ki sta jo protagonista obeh romanov doživela ob ločitvi staršev. Soočanje s travmo ob ločitvi staršev bom teoretsko obravnavala kot problemsko temo v žanru mladinskega problemskega romana, povzela teoretske značilnosti tega žanra, ki jih je prikazala Gaja Kos (2015), in primerjalno analizirala oba romana z vidikov žanra mladinskega problemskega romana.

• Title: Experiencing trauma due to parental separation in the novels Brez imena (No Name) by Jani Virk and Eilanddagen (Island Days) by Gideon Samson from the perspective of juvenile problem novels

Abstract

In my thesis, I will compare two contemporary novels, namely the Slovenian novel Brez imena (No name, 2018) by Jani Virk and the Dutch novel Eilanddagen (Island Days, 2016) by Gideon Samson. I will compare the novels from the perspective of narratives about dealing with the trauma that the protagonists of both novels experienced when their parents divorced. I will theoretically examine dealing with the trauma of parental divorce as a problem theme in the genre of juvenile problem novels. I will also summarise the theoretical characteristics of this novel genre proposed by Gaja Kos (2015) and analyse both novels comparatively under the aspects of the genre of juvenile problem novel.
