The thesis encompasses Roman remains along the coast of the Gulf of Trieste,
specifically between Monfalcone (Tržič) and Punta Sottile (Tanki rtič). The work will examine material culture, architectural remains, and functional aspects, with a focus on significant features of Roman land use and economic activities, including trade, agriculture, exploitation of marine resources, and crafts. Emphasis will be placed primarily on the regional importance of these sites in the northern Adriatic, the relationships between nearby settlements, and the broader economic and cultural currents of the Roman era.
