In my thesis I deal with S-structures in the teaching of Slovene in a secondary school. In the first part, I present linguists' views on the theory of S’s and how it is addressed in secondary school workbooks and in national exam papers between 2020 and 2024. In the second, i.e. the main part, I analyze the results of a questionnaire conducted among first- and fourth-year secondary school students and present my own views on the theory of S's.
