Abstract
Raziskava obravnava geomorfološko kartiranje kvartarnih pobočnih sedimentov na območju Skrilj v Vipavski dolini. Namen naloge je bil preučiti prostorsko razporeditev sedimentov in geomorfoloških oblik ter ugotoviti povezave med litološko sestavo, tektonsko zgradbo in dinamiko pobočnih procesov. Metodološki pristop je vključeval pregled obstoječih geoloških in geomorfoloških študij, analizo lidar podatkov ter podrobno terensko kartiranje z digitalnimi orodji (FieldMove in QGIS). Na terenu so bile dokumentirane litostratigrafske enote (apnenec, fliš, grušč, karbonatna breča) ter prepoznane geomorfološke oblike, kot so kalciturbiditne megaplasti, melišča, plazovine in gravitacijski karbonatni bloki. Rezultati raziskave kažejo, da narivanje karbonatov na fliš ustvarja ostro litološko mejo, ki pogojuje premike sedimentov. Flišna podlaga deluje kot drsna ploskev, po kateri se premikajo gruščni nanosi in večji karbonatni bloki. Prepoznani so bili večfazni gravitacijski premiki, vključno z rotacijskimi in translacijskimi procesi, ki jih dodatno spodbuja kombinacija intenzivnega preperevanja in hidrogeološke razmere. Sklepna ugotovitev je, da je geomorfološka zgradba območja Skrilj rezultat tesne povezanosti tektonskih, litoloških in hidrogeoloških dejavnikov, ki skupaj oblikujejo kompleksno dinamiko kvartarnih pobočnih sedimentov.

Title:Geomorphological mapping of quaternary slope deposits in Skrilj aren in Vipava valley : research paper
Abstract:
The study addresses the geomorphological mapping of Quaternary slope deposits in the Skrilje area of the Vipava Valley, SW Slovenia. The aim of the research was to examine the spatial distribution of sediments and geomorphological features, and to identify the relationships between lithological composition, tectonic structure, and slope dynamics. The methodological approach included a review of existing geological and geomorphological studies, analysis of lidar data, and detailed field mapping using digital tools (FieldMove and QGIS). Lithostratigraphic units (limestone, flysch, scree, and carbonate breccia) were documented in the field and geomorphological features such as calciturbidite megabeds, scree deposit (talus slopes), landslide deposits, and gravitational carbonate blocks were identified. The results show that the overthrust of carbonates onto flysch creates a distinct lithological boundary that controls sediment displacement. The flysch bedrock represents a sliding surface for scree accumulations and large carbonate blocks. Several phases of gravitational movements were recognized, including rotational and translational slides, further enhanced by intense weathering and hydrogeological conditions. The study concludes that the geomorphological structure of the Skrilje area is the result of a close interplay of tectonic, lithological, and hydrogeological factors, which together determine the complex dynamics of the Quaternary slope deposits.
