Abstract
Zemeljski plazovi so naraven pojav, ki predstavlja veliko tveganje v okolju. Dejavniki, ki privedejo do pojava plazov so vremenske razmere, potresi in človekovi posegi v prostor. Pogosto prizadenejo infrastrukturo in ogrožajo človeška življenja in njegovo premoženje, zato je pomembno poznavanje in razumevanje pojava. Živimo v času, ko so ekstremni vremenski dogodki vse pogostejši, plazov pa vse več. Rezultati analiz so pokazali kateri plazovi so še vedno aktivni in v kolikšni meri so aktivni.

Title:Analysis of landslides in the area of Zagrad near Celje : diploma work
Abstract:
Landslides are a natural phenomenon that pose significant environmental risks. The occurrence of landslides is influenced by factors such as weather conditions, seismic activity, and human interventions in the landscape. Landslides often damage infrastructure and can threaten both human lives and property, highlighting the importance of understanding and studying this phenomenon. In recent years, extreme weather events have become increasingly frequent, and the number of landslides has consequently risen. Therefore, it is essential to consider expert recommendations and adhere to best practices when carrying out interventions in the environment to mitigate potential hazards and accidents. This thesis examines ten landslides in the Zagrad area near Celje, Slovenia, using QGIS software. This platform facilitates the visualization and spatial analysis of data, making it a valuable tool for landslide studies. Through the analysis of digital elevation models, areas of accumulation and erosion were identified, relationships between slope and aspect were assessed, and cross-sectional profiles were generated to illustrate changes between 2014 and 2024. The results of the analyses indicate which landslides remain active and to what degree. Furthermore, landslides posing a potential risk to people or infrastructure were identified, and additional analytical methods that could enhance the understanding of landslide dynamics were also outlined.
