In this master's thesis, we aim to answer the question of whether the inner urban development of the city of Ljubljana follows current planning concepts, such as the 15-minute city, the blue-green city, and the carbon-free city. In the first part of the thesis, we presented the basic characteristics, measures, and well-known spatial indicators of the three selected concepts based on domestic and foreign literature. We then reviewed the development documents of the City of Ljubljana and spatial measures and indicators to see how Ljubljana is pursuing the goals of these concepts in practice. We found that although the individual concepts are not directly mentioned in the documents, the City Municipality of Ljubljana is implementing objectives that are intertwined with the concepts in question through various strategic and implementation approaches. At the end of the task, we prepared a proposal for a more systematic integration of these concepts into spatial strategic documents for spatial planning, which would enable the City Municipality of Ljubljana to follow the guidelines for sustainable urban development even more effectively.
