Abstract
Namen raziskave je bil dokumentirati trenutno stanje ohranjenosti Tabora, analizirati njegovo prostorsko umestitev in osvetliti pomen tovrstnih utrdb v širšem zgodovinskem in kulturnem kontekstu.

Title:Archaeological structural survey of Tabor near Podnanos
Abstract:
This thesis focuses on the late medieval fortification known as the anti-Turkish 'Tabor' near Podnanos, located in the Vipava Valley. The aim of the research was to document the present state of preservation of the structural remains, analyze the fortification's spatial setting, and place the site within the broader historical and cultural context of defensive structures in the region. The study combines archival research with fieldwork. Historical sources and cartographic materials were reviewed, and spatial analyses were conducted using GIS tools (QGIS). Fieldwork involved structural survey, noninvasive documentation, and photographic recording of the visible remains. Findings indicate that the walls of the fortification are preserved to varying heights, while vegetation and weathering pose the greatest threats to their stability. The research highlights the importance of further study and appropriate conservation measures and contributes to a better understanding of the defensive system of the Vipava Valley.
