Abstract
Med pandemijo smo spoznali, kako hitro se lahko virusi širijo, pri čemer so površine smetnjakov pogosto ena od točk prenosa. Uporaba smetnjakov z brezdotično tehnologijo lahko zato pomembno prispeva k zmanjšanju tveganja za širjenje kontaminacij. V nalogi so predstavljene ključne komponente, brez katerih izbrani mehanizem ne bi mogel delovati. Iz morfološke matrike izhajajo trije koncepti, med katerimi je bila izbrana optimalna rešitev. Ta omogoča brezkontaktno odpiranje in zapiranje pokrova ter je v nadaljevanju podrobno zasnovana. Pri tem so utemeljene odločitve glede postavitve in izbire potrebnih komponent za delovanje mehanizma. Na koncu je vključena analiza stroškov izbrane zasnove in podani so predlogi za nadaljnje delo.

Title:Mechanism for contactless opening of trash bin to reduce the spread of contamination
Abstract:
During the pandemic, we realized how quickly viruses can spread, with waste bin surfaces often being one of the points of transmission. Therefore, the use of waste bins with contactless technology can significantly contribute to reducing the risk of contamination. This paper presents the key components essential for the functioning of the selected mechanism. Based on the morphological matrix, three concepts are derived. The optimal solution is selected, enabling contactless opening and closing of the lid, and is further developed in detail. The decisions regarding the placement and selection of the necessary components for the mechanism’s operation are justified. Finally, a cost analysis of the selected design is included, along with suggestions for future development.
