Generative AI is becoming increasingly present in everyday life and, of course, in education, so it is very important to understand its use among primary school students. Third triad students (grades 7-9) already show a high level of digital literacy, which allows them to explore the potential of tools such as ChatGPT, DALL·E, Copilot and other tools for generating texts, images, music and programs. The use of these tools can promote creativity, independent learning and the development of critical thinking, while at the same time raising important questions about ethics and safe use of the Internet. In a learning environment, generative AI can be used to prepare drafts of writings, ideas for projects, solve tasks or obtain additional explanations of the material. However, there is a risk that students use the tools as a shortcut to the result, without understanding the content. An important role for teachers is therefore to guide students towards responsible and thoughtful use, to teach them to distinguish between useful and incorrect data generated by artificial intelligence, and to encourage thinking about authenticity and authorship. By introducing the basics of artificial intelligence into the curriculum, schools can contribute to the development of digital literacy and prepare students for responsible living in modern society. summary
