Abstract
Umetna inteligenca močno vpliva na oboroženi konflikt med Ukrajino in Rusijo, saj prinaša pomembne spremembe v načinu bojevanja. V konfliktu se uporablja napredna brezpilotna letala, opremljena z umetno inteligenco, ki omogočajo večjo natančnost napadov in avtomatizacijo operacij. Ukrajina je uvedla umetno inteligenco v brezpilotnih letalih, ki dosegajo tarče s 70-80 % natančnostjo, kar je bistveno boljše od tradicionalnih sistemov. Poleg tega se uporabljajo avtonomna kopenska vozila, opremljena z mitraljezi, ki jih upravljajo na daljavo, kar povečuje operativno učinkovitost na bojišču. Uporaba umetne inteligence omogoča tudi pol avtonomne napade, kjer brezpilotna letala samostojno usmerjajo in izvajajo napade na cilje, kar zmanjšuje potrebo po neposrednem človeškem nadzoru. Kljub tem tehnološkim izboljšavam pa uporaba avtonomnih sistemov odpira etične in pravne dileme glede odgovornosti in skladnosti z mednarodnim pravom. Prav tako se odpirajo vprašanja glede razsodnosti umetne inteligence pri določenih operacijah. Poudariti je treba, da umetna inteligenca tudi povečuje kibernetsko vojskovanje in motenje nasprotnikov, kar še dodatno spreminja dinamiko konflikta.

Title:The role of artificial intelligence in the Ukraine-Russia armed conflict
Abstract:
Artificial intelligence has a profound impact on the armed conflict between Ukraine and Russia, bringing significant changes to the way warfare is conducted. Advanced unmanned aerial vehicles equipped with artificial intelligence enable greater precision in attacks and automate operational processes. Ukraine has incorporated artificial intelligence into its drones, achieving target accuracy rates of 70-80%, which is substantially better than traditional systems. Additionally, autonomous ground vehicles fitted with machine guns, remotely controlled by operators, are used to increase operational efficiency on the battlefield. Artificial intelligence also facilitates semi-autonomous attacks, where unmanned aerial vehicles independently identify targets and execute strikes, reducing the need for direct human oversight. Despite these technological advancements, the use of autonomous systems raises ethical and legal concerns regarding accountability and compliance with international law. Furthermore, artificial intelligence enhances cyber warfare capabilities by enabling hacking and disruption of opponent systems, further altering the conflict's dynamics. Overall, artificial intelligence significantly influences modern warfare, increasing effectiveness while posing new legal, ethical, and security challenges.
