In this thesis, we researched, listed, and described the processes of construction and maintenance of the upper structure of railway tracks that are relevant in Slovenia. As part of the research of an individual process, we conducted an analysis of construction technology at SŽ – Infrastruktura, d.o.o. As the manager of public railway infrastructure, the company is responsible for main and regional railway lines in the Republic of Slovenia, signal safety devices, telecommunications, electrical devices, level crossings, as well as buildings and construction in the protective railway corridor. Within the analysis, we also evaluated construction norms that determine the type and required quantity of construction materials, as well as the necessary working time of workers and machines for the execution. Additionally, we demonstrated control of logistics, safety, and occupational health.
