Aerophotogrammetry is a method of acquiring spatial data. Due to the specific nature of the area capture method, it has become very useful in geodesy. In this master’s thesis, we captured the area of an island in the Dolenjska region, where Otočec Castle is located. The castle is situated near the town of Novo Mesto and is surrounded by the Krka River. The island is connected to the riverbank by two bridges. On the island, there is a castle that functions as a hotel and restaurant, with a parking area located in front of the hotel entrance. The island features many walking paths, which are surrounded by lush vegetation. Using an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, we captured the island area. To determine the coordinate of ground control and check points, we used GNSS data acquisition technology, specifically the RTK method. We processed all captured images in the 3DSurvey program where we recreated the digital 3D model and orthophoto. In ArcGIS Pro, we created a thematic map and a map with orthophoto. In GlobalMapper, we produced several virtual flyovers of the entire island from various perspectives.
