The thesis addresses the issue of the existing local road in the settlement of Tomačevo in Ljubljana, with a focus on ensuring greater traffic safety for all road users. The introductory part includes a detailed inspection of the current state of the traffic infrastructure, highlighting key deficiencies such as inadequate carriageway width, lack of pedestrian and cycling facilities, and insufficient traffic-calming measures. Subsequently, appropriate measures are analyzed and proposed in accordance with applicable technical specifications and regulations. The proposed solutions include the reconstruction of road sections, the construction of sidewalks and cycling paths, and the conversion of existing intersections into <mini= roundabouts. These measures not only improve traffic flow but also contribute to traffic calming and, consequently, to greater road safety in the area under consideration.
