Abstract
Diplomska naloga govori o zasnovi in izdelavi simulacijskega modela za termično analizo litij-ionske baterijske (LIB) celice ploščate oblike (ang. pouched battery cell ). V uvodnem delu je opravljen pregled litij-ionskih baterijskih celic s poudarkom na njenih fizikalnih in kemijskih značilnosti. Predstavljene so različne topologije, ki so največkrat uporabljene v komercialni rabi. Sledi poglavje namenjeno osnovam termodinamike, ki so uporabljene pri zasnovi simulacijskega modela. Nato je analiziran princip delovanja LIB in podrobneje so opisani ključni parametri LIB, ki služijo za izračun simulacijskega modela. Opisan je proces izgradnje simulacijskega termičnega modela litij-ionske baterijske celice v programskem okolju Matlab/Simulink, kjer izvajamo testiranje in validacijo modela pred eksperimentalnimi delom. Namen razvoja takega modela je analiza prehoda in prenosa toplote ter lastnosti sestave LIB in kako vpliva na prenos toplote. V sklopu eksperimentalnega dela nas je zanimalo ali smo izdelal kakovosten simulacijski model, kjer so preverjene številne značilnosti nadomestnega termičnega model v različnih točkah segrevanja. Programska koda, ki je bila razvita v tej nalogi, se lahko uporabi za nadaljnjo termično analizo na področju hlajenja baterijskih celic z vidika boljšega odvajanja toplote.

Title:Thermal model of a Li-ion battery cell
Abstract:
This thesis discusses the design and development of a simulation thermal model for a pouch lithium-ion cell (LIC). In the introductory chapter, an overview of pouch LIC and their characteristics are given. Followed by a chapter of basics of thermodynamics. The thermal behavior of LICs is then analyzed, with a detailed description of key thermal parameters, which serve as the basis for simulation model. An equivalent thermal circuit model of a lithium-ion cell developed and simulated within Matlab/Simulink environment presents the core of the research work. The purpose of developed thermal model is to analyze the heat transfer throughout the cell. The reliability of the simulation model was validated by the experimental work on single testing cell. The software code developed in this thesis can be used for further thermal analysis in the field of cooling the set of cell, from the perspective of improved heat dissipation.
