Abstract
Magistrsko delo obravnava idejno zasnovo prenove nekdanje tovarne Runo v Tržiču v osnovno šolo za otroke s posebnimi potrebami. Izpostavlja problem prostorske stiske obstoječih šol s prilagojenim programom in hkrati raziskuje možnost ponovne uporabe zapuščenih industrijskih objektov kot odgovor na potrebe inkluzivnega izobraževanja. Teoretični del naloge združuje strokovne podlage s področja pedagogike, arhitekture in specialne pedagogike ter analizira potrebe različnih skupin otrok s posebnimi potrebami. Sledi analiza lokalnega konteksta Tržiča, industrijske dediščine, makro- in mikrolokacijskih značilnosti ter obstoječega objekta. Delo temelji na interdisciplinarnem pristopu, ki povezuje senzorno občutljivo arhitekturo, inkluzivne pedagoške pristope in prostorsko pravičnost. Cilj projekta je zasnova prostora, ki ne le zadovoljuje funkcionalne potrebe uporabnikov, temveč jih vključuje na simbolni, socialni in čutni ravni.

Title:
The Children's House Embraced by Heritage : Conceptual Renovation of the Former Runo Factory in Tržič
Abstract:
The master’s thesis presents a conceptual design for the renovation of the former Runo tannery in Tržič into a primary school for children with special needs. It highlights the spatial limitations of existing schools with adapted curricula and explores the potential of repurposing abandoned industrial buildings as a response to the needs of inclusive education. The theoretical part combines expertise from pedagogy, architecture, and special education, and analyses the specific needs of various groups of children with special needs. This is followed by an analysis of the local context of Tržič, its industrial heritage, macro- and micro-location characteristics, and the existing building. The work is based on an interdisciplinary approach that connects sensory-sensitive architecture, inclusive pedagogical methods, and spatial justice. The goal of the project is to design a space that not only meets the functional needs of its users but also supports their inclusion on symbolic, social, and sensory levels.
