Abstract
V diplomskem delu svojo slikarsko prakso razlagam skozi metaforo visokega barja oziroma šotišča.

Title:My brain bog; geographical exercises as a metaphor for landscapes of the mind
Abstract:
In my BA thesis, I explain my painting practice through a metaphor of a raised bog or peatland. For its structuring, I lean on appropriating the structure of geographical exercises. As a function for building my mental wetland, I take Maurice Merleau-Ponty's view of sedimentation. Through analysis of wetland sediment, I obtain recurring themes and the driving force of my creative process, which is the wish to retain my memory. By studying the collected collage material, I discovered my fears of the loss of nature. In the peatland, I search for connections between the activity in the biotope and the process of creating paintings. I discuss the connection between landscape and memory, where I rely on Gary John Bierley's concept of landscape memory.
