Abstract
S primerjalno analizo svetovnih oblikovalskih rešitev bankovcev (s poudarkom na norveških, švicarskih, nizozemskih in ameriških primerih) izpostavlja dobre in slabe prakse. Poseben poudarek namenja evru, pri čemer kritično obravnava njegovo trenutno podobo in predlaga celostno prenovo, ki temelji na avtoreferenčnem vizualnem jeziku. Nov oblikovalski pristop si prizadeva odražati ideološko vlogo evra kot mostu med finančnim hiperprostorom in otipljivo uporabniško izkušnjo.

Title:The Visual Identity of Currency as a Subliminal Building Block of Collective Identity in the 21st Century, With a Focus on the Eurosistem
Abstract:
The bachelor‘s thesis explores the visual identity of currency as a subliminal component in shaping collective identity in the 21st century, focusing on the euro. Drawing from critical theory the work examines the symbolic, political, and communicative power of physical currency. Through comparative analysis of global currency designs (highlighting Norwegian, Swiss, Dutch, and American examples) it identifies the best examples and a bad one. A special focus is placed on the euro, critiquing its current design and proposing a comprehensive redesign based on autoreferential visual language. The new design aims to reflect the euro‘s ideological role as a bridge between financial hyperspace and tangible user experience.
