Abstract
Območje Krasa je leta 2022 prizadel največji požar v zgodovini samostojne Slovenije. Z uporabo satelitskih posnetkov satelitov Sentinel-2 in programa QGIS smo v nalogi na podlagi sprememb izbranih spektralnih indeksov (normiranega diferencialnega indeksa/NDVI in normiranega diferenčnega indeksa požarov/NBR) pred in po požaru določili prizadeta pogorela območja ter primerjali rezultate posameznega indeksa. Na podlagi analize rezultatov določitve pogorelih površin z uporabo različnih spektralnih indeksov smo se zaradi prisotnosti vpliva dima, ki nastane z gorenjem, odločili za uporabo indeksa NBR. Požar je zajel občine Komen, Miren - Kostanjevica in Renče - Vogrsko. Skupaj je pogorelo 1469 ha površin, največji delež (79 %) so predstavljali gozdovi. Požar je najbolj prizadel občino Miren - Kostanjevica in naselje Kostanjevica na Krasu.

Title:Identification of the burnt areas from the fire in the Karst region : master thesis
Abstract:
In 2022, the Karst region was devastated by the largest wildfire in the history of independent Slovenia. In our study, we used satellite images from the Sentinel-2 satellites and the QGIS programme to determine the affected areas before and after the wildfire based on the changes in the selected indices (Normalised Difference Vegetation Index, NDVI and Normalised Burn Ratio, NBR). We compared the results obtained with each index. Based on the analysis of the results of the determination of the burnt areas using different spectral indices, we decided to use the NBR index due to the influence of the smoke generated by the wildfire. The wildfire affected the municipalities of Komen, Miren-Kostanjevica and Renče-Vogrsko. A total of 1469 hectares of land were burnt, most of which (79%) were forests. The municipality of MirenKostanjevica and the village of Kostanjevica na Krasu were the worst affected by the wildfire.
