Abstract
V avdio tehniki se poraja problematika dobre zvočne reprodukcije, ki jo lahko opredelimo z veliko parametri, najbolj pomembni za dobre studijske zvočnike pa so majhno linearno in nelinearno popačenje ter odvisnost amplitude zvočnega tlaka od frekvence oziroma linearno popačenje (v idealiziranem primeru bi ta bila konstantna funkcija). Za izvedbo diplomskega dela je bil določen proračun 1500 EUR, ki se nanaša na tržne cene srednje dobrih studijskih zvočnikov proizvajalcev, kot so Genelec, Neumann, Adam Audio itd. Pri realizaciji studijskih zvočnikov ciljamo na čim bolj konstantno frekvenčno karakteristiko, majhna linearna in nelinearna popačenja, čim bolj prostorno ugodno konfiguracijo in zastopanje najnižjih frekvenc slišnega pasu (dobro delovanje tudi pri frekvencah pod 80 Hz za samostojno uporabo brez potrebe po dodatnem studijskem nizkotonskem zvočniku). V diplomskem delu je opisan celoten potek izdelave namenskih studijskih monitorjev, od simulacij različnih gonilnikov, načrtovanja ohišja, izbire primerne kombinacije gonilnikov, izdelave ohišja in pritrjevanja komponent v ohišje in seveda meritve končnega produkta.

Title:Design and evaluation of passive studio loudspeakers
Abstract:
Prepare an overview of various implementations of passive studio monitors, select the most suitable implementation for you based on the desired characteristics, realize it and optimize the performance of the constructed speakers. In audio there is an ongoing challenge of achieving good sound reproduction. Good sound reproduction can be defined by many parameters, but the most important ones for quality studio monitors are low linear and non-linear distortion and the dependence of sound pressure amplitude on frequency (in an idealized case this would be a constant function). A budget of 1500 EUR has been set for the execution of this thesis, which corresponds to the market prices of mid-range studio monitors form manufacturers such as Genelec, Neumann, Adam Audio etc. In the realization of the studio monitors, the aim is to achieve as constant a frequency response as possible, minimal linear and non-linear distortions, a spatially efficient design, and representation of the lowest frequencies of the audible range (good performance even at frequencies below 80 Hz). The undergraduate dissertation describes the entire process of creating dedicated studio monitors. It consists of simulations of various drivers, enclosure design, selection of suitable driver combinations, construction of the enclosure and mounting of components, and of course the measurements of the final product.
