Abstract

Title:Abuse of religion in the context of family education of children
Abstract:
We believe that education is the fundamental premise of a child's development, personality formation, and functioning throughout their entire life. Among the key factors that influence upbringing, we can also include religion, which represents the foundation of human behavior. Parents, as the key educators of their children, bear a great deal of responsibility in this process, which is why it is very important to be aware of the positive and negative aspects of incorporating religion into the educational process. The improper integration of religion into education manifests as the abuse of religion for educational purposes and the abuse of religion itself. Abuse of faith in the educational field can involve the physical, emotional, and/or spiritual aspects of a child. The consequences of all forms of abuse of faith in the educational process can be very difficult and can also manifest in the individual's life in adulthood. Treatment and support for victims of any form of abuse in upbringing, based on religion, is often long-term and very exhausting for the victims. Faith and practicing faith in it's positive aspect opens up many ways to achieve positive effects of the educational process, prevent abuse or help victims after various abuses. In raising children through faith, the key is the personal faith and experience of faith of the parents, which influences the choice of educational methods. Understanding and living faith as a positive guide in life is reflected in a healthy and loving relationship between parent and child, which also presupposes a healthy educational environment. Within the Christian faith, education is particularly built on the biblical values of the image of God as loving and respectful.
