Spremljanje vlažnosti lesa na modelnem montažnem objektu

Abstract
Les je kot naraven material zelo uporaben v veliko različnih panogah. Lahko ga predelujemo v razne lesne kompozite, lesene lepljene elemente, furnir, masivni les in mnogo drugega. Njegova življenjska doba je zelo odvisna od lesne vrste, pogojev uporabe in kako je les zaščiten za določene pogoje. Nihanje lesne vlažnosti je ena od glavnih lastnosti, ki jo ima les, in ima dobre in slabe vidike. V diplomski nalogi smo spremljali vlažnost lesa v lesenem montažnem objektu in ugotavljali, kako lesna vlažnost niha ob različnih vremenskih pogojih, kot tudi kako se vlažnost razlikuje na različnih merilnih mestih v montažnem objektu. Vlažnost smo spremljali tako, da smo v konstrukcijo že stoječega modelnega montažnega objekta vgradili senzorje, ki merijo lesno vlažnost, temperaturo in relativno zračno vlažnost. Merilna mesta so na najbolj kritičnih točkah lesenega montažnega objekta, saj smo s tem pridobili največ podatkov za analizo spremenljivk. Rezultati, ki smo jih pridobili so nam pokazali, da les nikoli ni presegel vlažnosti pri kateri bi se lahko začele pojavljati glive in plesni. Najvišja izmerjena vlažnost je bila 17,6 %, minimalna vlažnost je dosegla 13 %. V drugem primeru, smo vlažnost lesa spremljali na enostanovanjski hiši, ki ima narejen detajl 300 mm visokega betonskega podstavka pod nekaterimi zunanjimi stenami. Primerjali smo vlažnost lesa v stenah, ki stojijo direktno na temeljni plošči, in med tistimi na podstavku. Ugotovili smo, da se vlažnosti med merilnima mestoma veliko ne razlikujeta.

Title:Monitoring wood moisture in a model prefabricated building
Abstract:
Wood as a natural material is highly useful across many different industries. It can be processed into various wood composites, glued wooden elements, veneer, solid wood, and much more. Its service life, however, greatly depends on the wood species, conditions of use, and how well the wood has been protected for those specific conditions. One of wood’s main characteristics is its moisture fluctuation, which can be both beneficial and problematic. In this thesis, we monitored the moisture content of wood in a prefabricated wooden structure to determine how wood moisture fluctuates under different weather conditions, as well as how moisture levels vary at different measuring points within the structure. We measured moisture content by installing sensors into the construction of an existing model prefabricated building. These sensors measure wood moisture content, temperature, and relative air humidity. The measuring points were placed at the most critical details of the wooden structure, allowing us to gather the most data for variable analysis. The results showed that the wood never exceeded the moisture level at which fungi and mould could begin to develop. The highest recorded moisture content was 17.6%, while the lowest was 13%. In a second case, we monitored wood moisture in a single-family house that features a 300 mm high concrete base detail under some of the exterior walls. We compared the moisture content in walls that rest directly on the foundation slab with those placed on the concrete base. We found that the moisture levels between the two measuring points did not differ significantly.
