Abstract
Diplomsko delo obravnava načrtovanje in implementacijo avtomatiziranega sistema s pomočjo programirljivega logičnega krmilnika podjetja Inovance. Glavni cilj naloge je razviti delujočo simulacijo avtomatiziranega sistema razvrščanja, ki s pomočjo senzorike, motornih pogonov in kamere razvršča obdelovance glede na izbrane značilnosti. Za potrebe naloge smo kot obdelovance uporabili različne kovance, ki jih sistem razvršča glede na njihovo vrednost. Sistem uspešno simulira delovanje enostavnega avtomatiziranega sistema za razvrščanje, kar potrjuje primernost PLK-ja podjetja Inovance za uporabo v manjših avtomatiziranih projektih. Krmilnik se je izkazal kot cenovno učinkovitejša rešitev v primerjavi s konkurenčnimi izdelki, ob tem pa nudi enakovredne zmogljivosti. Delo zaključujejo ugotovitve o učinkovitosti implementacije, predlogi za izboljšave in možnosti nadgradnje sistema.

Title:Development and implementation of a demonstration automated sorting system
Abstract:
The thesis addresses the design and implementation of an automated system using a programmable logic controller (PLC) from Inovance. The main objective of the work is to develop a functioning simulation of an automated sorting system that, with the help of sensors, motor drives, and a camera, sorts workpieces based on selected characteristics. For the purpose of this project, various coins were used as workpieces, which the system sorts according to their value. The system successfully simulates the operation of a simple automated sorting system, confirming the suitability of Inovance’s PLC for use in smaller automation projects. The controller has proven to be a more cost-effective solution compared to competing products while providing equivalent performance. The thesis concludes with findings on the efficiency of the implementation, suggestions for improvements, and possibilities for system upgrades.
