Abstract
V diplomski nalogi so raziskane možnosti ponovne uporabe starega pohištva s sodobno oblikovano kolekcijo tekstilij, inspiriranih s slovensko veziljsko dediščino. V teoretičnem delu je podan zgodovinski pregled uporabe tekstilij v interierju, razvoj vezenine in trajnostni pristopi v sodobnem oblikovanju. V eksperimentalnem delu je predstavljen proces prenove starih domačih stolov s pomočjo novo ustvarjenih tekstilij s tehnikami strojnega vezenja in ročnega taftanja s pištolo. Rezultati diplomskega dela so preoblikovani pohištveni kosi in avtorsko oblikovani tekstilni izdelki – preproga, stenska slika in okrasne blazine. Projekt poudarja pomen ponovne uporabe predmetov za interier in oživljanja kulturne dediščine z oblikovalskim pristopom, ki združuje tradicijo in sodobnost.

Title:Renewal of interior products with embroidery pattern collection
Abstract:
In this thesis, the possibilities of reusing old furniture through the design and application of a collection of textile patterns based on Slovenian embroidery heritage were explored. The theoretical part provided a historical overview of the use of textiles in interior design, presented the development of embroidery, and examined sustainable approaches in contemporary design. In the experimental part, old chairs were selected and renovated using machine embroidery and tufting techniques. Several motifs were developed, one of which was selected and adapted for use on various textile products. The pattern was transferred to linen fabric using digital preparation and executed with machine embroidery, while wool and paper yarns were used in tufting to create three-dimensional textures. As a result, unique textile products were created—upholstered chairs, a rug, a wall art piece, and decorative cushions. The project emphasizes the importance of reusing interior objects and reviving cultural heritage through a design approach that connects tradition and modernity.
